The Andhra Pradesh Tax Practitioners & Consultants Association (APTPCA) was founded in 2006 by a small group of dedicated tax professionals who shared a common conviction: that practitioners serving the public deserved a unified, credible and self-regulating voice. What began as informal study circles in Guntur has grown into one of the state's most respected professional associations.
Over the years, APTPCA has stood beside its members through landmark reforms — from VAT to the historic GST rollout — providing education, representation and a sense of community to tax practitioners in every corner of Andhra Pradesh.
A timeline of the defining moments that shaped APTPCA into the professional association it is today.
APTPCA is formally constituted in Guntur by a founding committee of senior practitioners. The first by-laws, code of conduct and membership framework are adopted, laying the ethical foundation of the Association.
The inaugural AGM elects the first full executive committee and ratifies an annual calendar of professional development seminars. Membership crosses the first hundred practitioners.
To extend services beyond Guntur, the Association establishes its first district chapters, appointing local coordinators in Krishna, Visakhapatnam and Kurnool to support members closer to home.
Following the reorganisation of Andhra Pradesh, APTPCA reaffirms its commitment to serving practitioners across the residuary state, restructuring its district network and strengthening representation before VAT and commercial-tax authorities.
With the historic rollout of Goods & Services Tax, the Association conducts an intensive series of statewide GST orientation workshops, equipping members to guide thousands of businesses through the most significant indirect-tax reform in the nation's history.
APTPCA formalises a structured Continuing Professional Education programme, with regular technical sessions on income tax, GST, audit and accounting standards delivered by expert faculty and visiting officers.
In response to the pandemic, the Association moves its services online, launching a member portal, digital identity cards, webinars and an e-grievance system that keeps members connected and supported through challenging times.
With active members and coordinators in every district of Andhra Pradesh, APTPCA celebrates becoming a truly statewide association, hosting its largest-ever annual conference and felicitating senior members for decades of distinguished service.
APTPCA continues to grow, advocating for the interests of tax practitioners, investing in the next generation of professionals, and championing ethical, technology-enabled practice across Andhra Pradesh.
From a single city to the entire state, our chapter network ensures every member has local support backed by a strong statewide body.
Strong chapters in Guntur, Krishna, Visakhapatnam, East & West Godavari and Nellore, serving practitioners in the region's busiest commercial centres.
Active coordinators in Kurnool, Anantapur, Kadapa and Chittoor, bringing professional development and representation to practitioners across the southern districts.
Following the 2022 district reorganisation, APTPCA expanded its footprint into the newly formed districts, ensuring continuity of service for every member statewide.
Every year, the Association's Annual General Meeting and State Conference bring members together from across Andhra Pradesh, to elect office bearers, review the year's work, felicitate senior practitioners, and chart the path forward. These gatherings, alongside technical seminars, felicitation ceremonies and regional meets, remain the heartbeat of APTPCA's professional community.
